i still have to take the christmas tree down, i know christmas is over but i have yet to take the tree down, maybe when the boys are away this afternoon, i will start with the decorations, yeah that sounds like a good plan. i had a fifth grade teacher tell me the meaning behind the phrase “the grass is always greener on the other side” and every once in a while i have to remind myself of that. you see, someone in my office just got engaged. i cannot quite pinpoint my exact feelings about this, at first i thought it was jealously, she hasnt even been dating for a year. but i dont think it is that. this person is rather snarky and i do not really even like her very much, dont get me wrong i said congrats and all that and have been almost as excited as everyone else in the office, but still. the other thing that i think is off is that when you see the couple together, they do not look happy. and that is something i just do not understand. but i guess she is in her thirties and still lives with her parents maybe she is just in a rush. i guess she was proposed to on saturday and by monday she has the church and the reception place already booked (since i have no wedding gene i am not sure if that is fast or the norm) so i have to thank Mrs. Hoffman for teaching me that valuable lesson in fifth grade that grass does seem greener on the other side.
and just like that i feel better, not to mention the great little email i just got from kevin…all butterflies!!
