we got snow here the other day. having grown up in michigan, snow before Halloween is nothing new. every single costume i ever had was large enough to fit my winter coat underneath it. except the Halloween when i wore my grandfathers world war II navy costume which was wool. that was a warm one! but this snow? CRAZY! trees down, power out, and long lines at gas stations. we are going on day three of four way stops at all major intersections.
which is why the governor cancelled halloween. no trick or treating, no wandering the streets aimlessly, no pumpkins full of candy. the great pumpkin? he was holed up in his shack with his generator blasting because he was smart enough to get gas before the snow came.
and the rest of us? i guess we put the decorations away for another year and eat all the candy that would have been passed out. because that candy does not need to be refrigerated.
as for the fact that november has started, this is my attempt to blog every day for the entire month. i am a firm believer in going big or going home and since i have neglected my little corner of the internet for way to long, i am going big and coming back!
