ten on tuesday!!!

ohh another great round of ten on tuesday questions brought to us by the lovely chelsea who has so generously shared cute baby pictures! she lives in texas where it is warm, at least warmed than it is here…

1. What was the number one item on your Christmas wishlist?- i didn’t really have a list, there were only a few things i really needed, like new jeans, but nothing as far as wishes which made my christmas even more of a surprise.

2. Did you get the number one item on your Christmas wishlist?- knowing that i didn’t have a list, anything would be just fine. my loving, wonderful, thoughtful, husband (can i come up with any more sappy descriptions?) gave me a new ipod touch. it is one of the coolest things ever!

3. How long has it been since you’ve had a pedicure?- a pedicure done professionally? that was over a year ago. a pedicure done by me…a few months ago…

4. How cold is it in your city today?- currently it is 25 degrees, but feels more like 10 degrees because of the wind…

5. How many pillows do you sleep with?- start out with two, sometimes end up with one, or three, or four. no idea how!

6. Can you roll your tongue?- Yes! its a talent!

7. Do you always buy the same mascara or do you try new ones each tube?- depends on how the spirit moves me when standing in the mascara eisle…

8. What’s your favorite cookbook?- currently The Pioneer Woman Cooks…

9. What was your first pet?- a red beta fish that would swim up into the filtration system of the large fish-tank my dad had…

10. Do you wear jewelry on a daily basis?- i always have my ring on, thats a no-brainer, other than that i always need to have earrings on, i find myself feeling a bit in-complete if i don’t have them on…

just one more day…

christmas has come and gone, and what a wonderful christmas it was. spending time with family and granting wishes made it just perfect. to cap it all off, a blizzard, of epic proportions (at least that is what the weather man has said) hit yesterday and is just winding up now. i had every intention of going to work today, but i woke up to this…

my car, not hit by the tree, and just proof that there is a higher power who decided i did not need to deal with broken cars and downed trees. Thank You!

that’s a lot of snow, but because its blowing so much there are also patches like this…

oh, hello grass, nice of you to peak through. now if the wind could just stop blowing and creating snow drifts around my car, and the downed tree, perhaps i could get to work to pick up the tires that will be delivered which will allow me to safely drive in the snow again. because lets face it, snow+bald tires=broken cars!

ten on tuesday!!!!!!!!!

whoa! tuesday! i figured that since i just…JUST…finished the final, which means the requirements for the masters are taken care of, no more classes, no more papers, no more hours in the library, that ten on tuesday questions brought to us by the lovely chelsea, would be appropriate. well, these and me dancing in the street…

1. What is your favorite kind of cheese?- i cant narrow it down, i love cheese, it goes with everything…

2. Do you prefer fudge with or without nuts?- fudge is alright, not my favorite, but a great mode to get chocolate into my system. so my answer would be without nuts-i don’t think there is really anything that i like nuts in…hummm

3. How do you feel about cats?- if they live in the barn where i keep my horse, they are alright, other than that, not a huge fan. something about a litter box and them being on everything really makes me not a fan. dogs? LOVE THEM…

4. Meg Ryan or Julia Roberts?- i like them both, meg ryan was awesome in sleepless in seattle and i loved runaway bride but i heard from a very reliable source that meg ryan is not a nice person and i always hear my dad in the back of my head not liking julia roberts and her huge teeth…

5. Do you wear a watch?- i used to, but something happened and i don’t anymore…

6. What are a few of your favorite songs from the 90′s?- oh how i love music and from the 90s? well i have to admit i love the old school hip hop and rap and well all the early dave matthews band music. but both of those passions have continued on into now so i really am not sure…

7. Do you like scented candles?- ahhh man candle. yankee candle makes a black candle called midsummers night dream-it smells like man. when mags and i lived together in college, this candle was AMAZING. and to this day its my favorite scent…

8. What do you like on your hamburger?- blue cheese and onions…thank you goldburger!

9. How often do you cut your fingernails?- i don’t think i have ever cut my finger nails, the majority of my life was spent chewing them, once i realized how nasty that habit was i graduated to filing them, i do that once a week…

10. Do you sleep in socks?- never. i have a weird thing with not having my feet surrounded. i don’t even have a fitted sheet. have to have the feet free…

and that would be tuesday, i am off to mail the project, catch up on work, and remember how it is to be a normal person and not a graduate student (not that that is bad, school is fun, but there is a point…)

stress…

so i am stressing about school…
stressing about the holidays….
stressing about pretty much everything…
and then the landlord finally decided to fix our bathroom floor, today, so hobbes joined me at work and after spending the morning meeting all his new friends, he is pooped and almost passed out on the floor of my office…how can i stress about that?
